About Us
Auburn Nordic Ski Association (ANSA) is a community ski club dedicated to creating and maintaining a nordic ski venue in Auburn, Maine.

In the past 4 years, club members have upgraded exisitng trails and created new trails at the Lost Valley Ski Area in Auburn, Maine.  We have reached our goal of creating a 10 kilometer cross-country system for the Lewiston/Auburn community - only 10 minutes from the 2 downtowns.

In 2005, ANSA received grants from Mechanic Savings Bank ($500) and the Auburn-Lewiston Breakfast Rotary ($1,000).   With this money we bought and put up a 400 foot safety fence that created a cross-country skiers lane to the trail head.  Thank you to both of these great community organizations.  We also thank the L/A Fund for it's generous support of $5,000.  These funds allowed us to rent the heavy equipment needed to flatten and widen the trail system.

Our new trail map with numbers, names and difficulty levels.

In 2005, we received a grant from the L/A fund and used the proceeds to rent this bulldozer and an excavator.  In 2008, our volunteer operators pulled stumps and leveled the rest of the system so now we have about 10 kilometers of trails.

Thank you to all the hard working volunteers.  We couldn't have done it without you.

Our work is complete.  Check out the new map (left) and the new grooming update board at Lost Valley.  Also, all of the trails are numbered with signs, so you won't get confused anymore!

Trail maps are available at Lost Valley lodge OR you can print the map below if you have Adobe on your computer.
